The NC° Thermometer Gen3 is our third-generation thermometer, which syncs your temperature automatically to the app via Bluetooth, has adjustable screen brightness, the option to turn off beeping, and the ability to customize the screen.
The NC° Thermometer Gen3 is a basal thermometer, which means that it is a digital thermometer that measures with two decimals (for example 96.89°F).
Use the NC° Thermometer Gen3 to measure your temperature each morning when you wake up, and then sync the temperature in the app by opening the Add data page. You can find our measuring guidelines in the article How to measure with the NC° Thermometer Gen3. *Please note that the NC° Thermometer Gen3 is currently only available in the US, subject to availability.
What is a basal thermometer?
A basal thermometer is more sensitive than a regular fever thermometer, which only measures with one decimal. This higher sensitivity is very important when you want to measure your basal body temperature, which rises by 0.36-0.81°F after ovulation.
If you are using Natural Cycles with a thermometer, it is important that you use a basal thermometer, like the NC° Thermometer Gen3.
