The NC° Thermometer Gen2 is our second-generation thermometer, which has Bluetooth and a backlit display. It is a basal thermometer, which means that it is a digital thermometer that measures with two decimals (for example 36.29°C or 96.89°F).
Use the NC° Thermometer Gen2 to measure your temperature each morning when you wake up, and then sync the temperature in the app by opening the Add data page. You can find our measuring guidelines for this thermometer here, and how to sync your temperature to the app here.
You also have the option to save the temperature on the thermometer and sync it to the app later – you can read more about how to do this here. The NC° Thermometer Gen2 can save up to 30 temperatures.
The NC° Thermometer Gen2 is CE Marked in Europe and registered with the FDA. The thermometer is therefore available for purchase by our Cyclers in the EU, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Norway, and the U.S.
What is a basal thermometer?
A basal thermometer is more sensitive than a regular fever thermometer, which only measures one decimal. This higher sensitivity is very important when you want to measure your basal body temperature, which rises by 0.2-0.45°C (0.36-0.81°F) after ovulation.
If you are using Natural Cycles with a thermometer, it is important that you use a basal thermometer, like the NC° Thermometer Gen2.
