If you’re having trouble syncing your Oura Ring data with the Natural Cycles app, please follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
1. Verify Your Oura Account Email
If you have never successfully synced data, you may have used a different email address to authenticate your Oura account than the one currently active in the Oura App.
To check which email is linked to your Oura account, open the Oura App and go to the Settings page. Please note that it is perfectly fine if your Oura email is different from your Natural Cycles email, but they must be correctly linked during setup.
If you need to update the email used for the connection, follow these steps:
- Delete and reinstall the Natural Cycles app.
- Log out of your Oura account on the Oura Cloud website using the browser on your mobile device.
- Open Natural Cycles and restart the authentication (Menu > My Device > Connect Oura account), ensuring you log in with the correct Oura email.
2. Confirm the Connection is Active
Check your connection status in the Natural Cycles app by navigating to the top left menu > My Device. It should display "Connected" under "Device info."
If it is disconnected, tap Device info > I already have an Oura Account and follow the prompts. You can also look for a warning icon on the "Today" tab, which indicates a connection error.
3. Update Software and Firmware
Ensure that both the Natural Cycles and Oura apps are updated to their latest versions in your app store. Additionally, check the Oura App to ensure your Oura Ring has the latest firmware installed.
4. Manually Back Up Oura Data
You can force a data sync by opening the Oura App, going to Settings, and selecting "Back up all data." This often pushes missing data to Natural Cycles more quickly.
5. Check for "Not Enough Data" Warnings
If you see "Not enough data" in the temperature section, it means the ring couldn't collect a valid trend. This happens if the ring was not worn, the battery died, you slept for less than 3 hours, or the ring fit was incorrect.
