AF: Aunt Flo (period)
BC: Birth Control
BCP: Birth Control Pill
BD: Baby Dance (sex for conceiving)
BFN: Big Fat Negative (pregnancy test)
BFP: Big Fat Positive (pregnancy test)
CCP: Chemical Pregnancy (early miscarriage)
CM: Cervical Mucus
CD: Cycle Day
DPO: Days Past Ovulation
EDD: Estimated Due Date
EWCM: Egg White Cervical Mucus (indicated as the most fertile kind)
FMU: First Morning Urine
FP: Follicular Phase
HCG: Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hormone detected by pregnancy tests)
HPT: Home Pregnancy Test (measures HCG)
HSG: Hysterosalpingogram (a test that examines inside your uterus and fallopian tubes)
IUI: Intra-Uterine Insemination
LMP: Last Menstrual Period
LP: Luteal Phase
LPD: Luteal Phase Defect
MC: Miscarriage
O: Ovulation
OPK (or OPT): Ovulation Prediction Kit/Test (or LH tests)
PCOS: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
PG: Pregnant
POAS: Pee On A Stick
RE: Reproductive Endocrinologist
SA: Semen Analysis
TTA: Trying To Avoid (pregnancy)
TTC: Trying To Conceive
TTW: Trying To Whatever (neither avoid or conceive pregnancy)
TWW/2WW: Two-week wait (before testing). In your luteal phase, you have about two weeks between your ovulation and when your period would start — this is when you can take a pregnancy test.
