We recommend that you log temperature data throughout your whole cycle and that you aim to add at least five temperatures per week, meaning that you should also measure (or wear the Oura Ring or Apple Watch) during your period to get the most out of the app.
Logging temperatures regularly and often gives the algorithm as much data about your cycles as possible, which will help it better isolate your fertile window. If you are using NC° Birth Control, you’re more likely to get more green days during your cycles. If you are using NC° Plan Pregnancy, the app will better be able to narrow down your fertile window to optimize your chances of conceiving.
However, it is okay to miss a temperature here and there – forgetting to measure (or wear your wearable device) doesn’t affect how effective NC° Birth Control is at preventing pregnancy.
Even if you don’t add your temperature on a day during your period, we still recommend that you open the app and log Period for that day.
