It is not possible to automatically reset your data. If you would like to reset your data, you would need to go back and manually delete each data entry. We’ll go through the instructions below.
However, we don’t recommend deleting any of your past data. The algorithm adjusts and adapts to your unique cycle based on the data you log, and the more data you have, the better – this includes any cycle irregularities which may have occurred.
It is also good to know that the algorithm will consider your most recent cycles to be the most important for future predictions. If your cycles change with time, the algorithm will adjust and adapt your predictions accordingly. The best thing you can do to have the most accurate predictions possible is to keep on logging data!
I took a break from the app and now I see a long cycle on my account
If you have taken a break from the app, the long cycle without any activity will not be taken into account in your averages and predictions going forward.
As soon as you start a new cycle by logging a period, your predictions will be based on your past completed cycles (before the break), and not take the time that you were not using the app into account. We write a bit more about this here.
I took a break from the app and used hormonal birth control, how do I get started again?
If you used hormonal birth control during your break from the app, you will not be able to let the algorithm know that you are discontinuing hormones, so you will need to follow the instructions listed in this article to get started again.
The setup questions (where you can let the app know that you’ve recently used hormones) will not be available when you start using Natural Cycles again after taking a break, as these questions are only available when you first register your account.
I still want to delete my data
If you want to delete your older data, you will have to go back to each day and delete it manually (as we do not perform this from our end). Kindly note that deleting data is not reversible, so we will not be able to restore your data if you delete it.
To do this, go to your Calendar view and click on a day that you want to delete for and open the Add data page. If you want to remove specific data, you can unselect it in the Add data page and click on Save. To remove all data added for a given day, press Clear and then Save.
If you wish to delete data for multiple days, you can swipe right or left to change the date, which will also automatically save your data.
