We have received questions from our US users about the actions we are taking as a company given the updates on Roe vs Wade.
If you are a concerned user, rest assured that we are taking this situation very seriously. We have included below some information that may address some of your concerns:
-
Privacy & Data Protection: Protecting user’s information has always been a top priority. Natural Cycles has a comprehensive privacy protection program called NC° Secure, which is included with every Natural Cycles subscription. The program includes advanced data protection, including encryption and pseudonymization, to keep your data secure. It’s important to keep in mind that you always own your data and have the power to control how it’s used. You can learn more about NC° Secure here.
As part of NC° Secure, you also have the option to Go Anonymous if you need an extra layer of protection for your identity, for example, if your data is at an increased risk. If you Go Anonymous, your personal identifying information will be separated from your fertility data, which means that no one — not even us at Natural Cycles — can link your NC° data to you. You will be able to see a badge and text saying that your data is anonymized in the My Account and Settings pages. You can Go Anonymous by going to your app’s top menu > Settings > Go Anonymous > toggle Go Anonymous ON.
- Birth Control Access: As reproductive health access is threatened, the best way we can help all women is to make sure they have access to a safe, over-the-counter, effective form of birth control. We are aware that a large number of women do not use any form of birth control, including those who use period trackers that are not intended to or effective at preventing pregnancy. We are here for anyone to use, and have been working hard with outside organizations, including insurance companies, to make sure anyone who wants to use Natural Cycles, can do so. Cost should never be a reason to not use birth control. We are happy to share that Natural Cycles is now covered by insurance in the US, and you can find out how to get reimbursed here.
This is an evolving situation and we are committed to our mission of driving women’s health forward. We will do everything in our power to do that.
