The NC° Band is a great option for those with irregular sleep habits, as it can simplify your measuring routine.
How the NC° Band Collects Data
While you sleep, the NC° Band continuously records three key data points:
- Body Temperature: This data is essential for calculating your daily fertility status.
- Heart Rate: This helps us detect changes in your routine (e.g., changes in sleep quality or if you are unwell).
- Motion Data: This enables the band to detect when you are sleeping.
What to keep in mind for irregular sleep patterns
If you work shifts or tend to have irregular sleep habits, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- For the NC° Band to collect your temperature trend data, all you need is at least four hours of total sleep (it does not have to be consecutive sleep). If you sleep less than four hours, there won’t be enough data to be collected, and you will see the message "Interrupted Sleep" below the temperature section for those specific days.
- While your NC° Band collects temperature data continuously, to ensure accuracy, the app only uses temperatures that are taken between 7 PM and 10 AM. This means if you sleep outside of these hours, that specific temperature reading won't be used for your cycle analysis.
Guidelines based on your schedule
| Your schedule pattern | Recommended action |
| Consistent schedule | No adjustment needed. If you always have the same sleeping schedule, your body is used to it. You can include your temperature every day. |
| Alternating schedules | Only include the temperature reading when you are on your most frequent schedule. Exclude your temperature on the days you follow the less frequent schedule. |
| Highly irregular schedule (no pattern) | This may affect the quality of your data, potentially making it difficult for the algorithm to determine your fertility status. If you experience issues, please reach out to our Customer Care team for personalized guidance. |
| Long-term schedule change | If you switch from one long-term schedule (e.g., night shift) to another (e.g., day shift), exclude your temperature for the first 1–2 nights. This allows your body time to adjust before you resume syncing your daily temperature. Note that the app only uses temperatures that are taken while sleeping between 7 PM and 10 AM. |
