My device is not connecting to the app
If your NC° Band is not connecting to the Natural Cycles app, it may be out of reach, out of battery, or asleep. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Plug your NC° Band into its charger
- Turn Bluetooth off, wait 5 seconds, then turn it on again.
- Open the NC° app and check if your band connects automatically.
If it fails, please keep your NC° Band connected to the charger and try the following:
- Close the NC° app completely (swipe it away)
- Turn the Bluetooth on your phone off and on again
- Reopen the NC° app
- Go to the ‘My Device’ page and wait up to 30 seconds.
Tip: Make sure you are connecting to the right NC° Band by checking that its serial number matches the one shown in your My Device > Device info page.
If you have followed all the steps and your band still fails to connect to the app, please contact our Customer Care team for further assistance.
My temperature data isn’t syncing
There are several potential reasons why your temperature data might not be syncing to the NC° app, such as the device running out of battery, a connection failure with the app, or the device not being paired correctly before its first use.
We recommend wearing your device to bed with a sufficient battery charge (over 20%), checking that the app and NC° Band are connected, and making sure that your device is fully set up.
- If you see “Interrupted Sleep”, it means your sleep period was too short for a valid reading. The NC° Band requires at least 4 hours of total sleep to accurately measure your temperature.
- Charge your band and try wearing it overnight again tonight. Data should sync once you’ve had a longer sleep.
- If you see “Not enough data”, it means your band didn’t collect enough temperature or heart-rate data. This happens if:
- Your band wasn’t worn tightly enough.
- The sensor lost contact with your skin.
- The band ran out of battery overnight.
- Wear the band overnight again, making sure it sits snugly, the battery is above 20% and Bluetooth is enabled. The next morning, try syncing your data to the app.
If you have followed all the steps and your temperature data still does not sync, please contact our Customer Care team for further assistance.
What data is collected by my NC° Band?
When you wear your NC° Band throughout the night, it records body temperature, heart rate, and motion.
- Body Temperature: This data is essential for calculating your daily fertility status.
- Heart Rate: This helps us detect changes in your routine (e.g., changes in sleep quality or if you are unwell).
- Motion Data: This enables the band to detect when you are sleeping.
While your NC° Band collects temperature data continuously, to ensure accuracy, the app only uses temperatures that are taken between 7 PM and 10 AM. This means if you measure your temperature outside of these hours, that specific temperature reading won't be used for your cycle analysis.
For the NC° Band to collect your temperature trend data, all you need is at least four hours of sleep. Note that it does not have to be consecutive sleep.
Battery & Charging issues
Your device’s battery life has been optimized to collect data for approximately 14 nights.*
To ensure a full night of sleep data is recorded, make sure your device does not have a critically low battery level before you go to bed.
If you encounter battery or charging issues, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Plug the NC° Band into a different charging cable
- Verify if you see any light in the device (pulsing or static)
- Leave the device charging for at least 2 hours and then check if the battery status in the app has changed.
If you still don't see a change or have no light in the device, try switching to a different power source.
If you have followed all the steps and you still have issues with the device battery, please contact our Customer Care team for further assistance.
*When used exclusively during nighttime.
Tips & advice
Caring for your NC° Band
We’re here to help you look after your new device with a few quick tips:
Cleaning your sensors
Keep the two sensors on the inside of your device clean by regularly wiping them with a soft, dry cloth. This will help ensure accurate readings.
Cleaning your band
The nylon band is durable and easy to clean. You can simply wipe it down with a damp cloth as needed. Like any fabric, the band may show signs of wear with extended use. Avoid getting your device wet.
Your device is splash resistant, so it's fine to wear it while washing your hands, but avoid submerging it in water (e.g., showering or bathing). We also recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to very hot or very cold temperatures.
Avoid scratches
The device’s sensors are sensitive, so avoid contact with sharp objects or rough surfaces that could scratch them.
For additional assistance, please contact our Customer Care team.
What do the lights on my NC° Band mean?
Pulsating light: the device is connected and charging (full charge in about 2.5 hours)
Steady light: the battery is fully charged
NC° Band battery & charging tips
To charge your NC° Band, we advise always using the charger provided and making sure you have enough charge before going to bed.
The NC° Band battery can last up to 14 days.
💡 To ensure you never miss a night of data, activate the Battery Charge Reminder in your app settings (Settings > Reminders).
Avoid leaving the battery at critically low levels before bed, as this may result in no data being recorded during the night.
To ensure your safety and the long life of your device, please follow the guidelines carefully when charging.
1. Inspect Your Equipment
- Check Port: Before plugging in, always check the device's charging port for dust, lint, or any debris.
- Check Cable: Look for damage on your cable (fraying, bends, discoloration) or dust, lint, or any debris. Do not use cables that are damaged, frayed, or heavily worn.
2. Use Quality Accessories
- Use Certified Equipment: We strongly recommend using a high-quality cable and a high-quality power adapter from a reputable, certified brand.
3. Charge in a Safe Environment
- Keep it Cool: Charge your device on a hard, flat, non-flammable surface (like a desk).
- Do not Cover: Never charge your device under a pillow, blanket, in a bag, or in a tight pocket.
- Avoid Heat/Moisture: Do not charge in direct sunlight, in a hot car, or if the device has been recently wet or exposed to liquids.
- Avoid charging for extended durations: Unplug the device once it is fully charged to maximize battery lifespan.
4. What to Do If You Notice a Problem
- Stop Charging: If the device, cable, or charger feels unusually hot (not just slightly warm), or if you notice any smell or discoloration, unplug the charger from the wall outlet immediately.
- Contact Us: Do not attempt to use the device or charger again. Please contact our support team right away for assistance.
