Predictions are when the app shows you what your coming cycle(s) might look like. The algorithm bases your predictions on your past data, for example, your temperatures, periods, detected ovulations, and ovulation test results.
It’s important to note that predictions may change over time depending on the data that you add. This means that you should open the app every day to check your fertility status for today, as it may be different than what was previously predicted.
Where can I see my predictions?
Before you can see your predictions, you must first unlock them by clicking on the button Show predictions in your Today or Calendar view. This is to acknowledge that you understand that predictions are subject to change and that you should still check your fertility status every day.
Once you have unlocked your predictions, you’ll be able to consult them in two different places:
The Today view – You will find your predictions for the coming week below your fertility status if you scroll down to the Predictions & data box.
The Calendar view – Your predictions will show in the calendar, starting from tomorrow and for the coming six months.
What will I see in my predictions?
The algorithm is able to predict:
Your next periods – you will see a period icon on the days when the algorithm predicts that you may be getting your period. If you track the flow of the bleeding, the algorithm will also be able to predict your period flow.
Your future fertility status – at the bottom right corner of each predicted day, you’ll see a small circle with the color that corresponds to the fertility status that is predicted for that day. Remember to not take these predictions as a definitive fertility status and continue to check your daily status every day.
Your coming ovulations – the ovulation icon will show on the days when the algorithm believes you have the strongest chance to ovulate in each predicted cycle.
The best time to take ovulation tests – you will see the ovulation test symbol (see below) on days when the algorithm predicts that it would be a good time to take an ovulation test.
When you may be experiencing PMS – if you’ve been logging PMS in the app, the algorithm will be able to predict it by showing ‘PMS’ on days when you’re most likely to experience it.
If you’re using NC° Plan Pregnancy, the algorithm will also predict when it would be the best time to take pregnancy tests, so you can prepare accordingly. If you log a period in the days before a pregnancy test recommendation, these predictions will disappear.
How far ahead will I be able to see predictions?
In the Calendar view, you will be able to see predictions for the coming six months.
Note: if you’re pregnant or have recently been pregnant, your predictions may look different and show for less than six months.
Can I use the predictions to plan ahead?
You can use the predictions to get an idea of how the algorithm believes that your coming days will look. You can’t use your predictions as a definitive result because predictions are subject to change as you log more data. Make sure that you open the app every day to see your updated fertility status for that given day.
Why did my predictions change?
If your predictions change, this is because the newly added data you have entered indicates that the coming days won’t be like the algorithm initially predicted. Predictions are updated each time you log new data.
Changes in your predictions are expected and not something to worry about, since you should open the app and check the Today page every day to see your fertility status for today.
