If you’re using NC° Plan Pregnancy, you may have seen the fertility status "More data needed".
The brown "More data needed" days are days when more data is needed for the algorithm to be able to determine your fertility status for that specific day. Most of the time, brown days are attributed to days when your data doesn't support that you are fertile or not fertile.
"More data needed" days don’t mean that you need to enter more data today or for previous days, just that we need a few more days to collect more data for analysis.
Brown days are most often shown for new users, as the algorithm hasn't gotten to know your unique cycle yet. Brown days may also be shown for users with fluctuations in their temperatures and/or irregular cycles. You can check your graph and see if you have any fluctuating temperatures that may affect your data negatively.
If you get brown days, the best thing you can do is to keep logging temperature data every day! If you track your temperature with a basal thermometer, it’s also important to make sure that you’re measuring according to our guidelines.
As soon as the algorithm has collected enough data, your fertility status will update (ranging from ‘Not fertile’ to ‘Peak fertility’).
